Byron Has a Cow

"Byron, why aren't you having any breakfast?"

"Because last night I ate half a cow."

We had a romantic dinner for 9 at Santa Fe. I think everyone had a great meal. Poor Bob got a warm beer. Thanks again Tommy & Mike for picking up the remainder of the tab. You guys rock!

We woke up to about six inches this morning. That sounds a little funny. I tried out my new Phat Luvs. I thought I was going to kill myself, but they were great. The snow in the morning was light and fluffy. The Phat Luvs floated on top of everything! Wheee!

I thought I was going to be the star of the day, but wait...what does Diana have on her feet? New Volkls!!! Merry Christmas, Diana!

I had a great time in the morning until the ticket guy said my pass was not good. I put on last year's ski pass instead of my Beast pass. It was a hassle, but it was my own stupid fault. Killington graciously gave me a ski ticket for the day for $10.

Going to Bear was a bad idea. The snow was soft and sticky and Diana and I flew around like rockets. Snowdon was great and the Glades weren't bad. Run of the day: Poaching Highline and going through the untracked powder at the bottom.

It sounds like the Pico crew had a great day. Michael said the Glades were fantastic, but it got sticky there too.

Bob says, "The key to skiing on fat skis is finding your balance. Keep your hands out in front of you, bend your knees and find your center of gravity."

How'd we do, Bob?
