After two days of balmy weather and a day of constant drizzle, we awoke to 29 degrees and light snow. Dust on crust. Our first run on the Snowdon Training Trail confirmed our prediction. It was a notch above shitty.
However, it all improved from there. Bear Mountain was great until the masses arrived. Needle's Eye and Cruise Control were great. There is that steep section on Cruise Control, though, that they funnel beginners through. It is steep and slick and they narrowed it with ropes. Bloody cluster fuck (is that one word--a compound noun?). Strewn bodies everywhere.
A nice surprise was skiing all the way to the bottom to the Skyeship. The snow was in great condition. Steve doesn't let me stop, so my thighs were burning. After lunch we stayed on Snowdon. At that hour the snow under the triple was still super. It's a terrain park, so watch it. I worked on my air. The bottom of Chute was great, and they blew it all day on Mouse Trap.
Great day, but I miss my people.
