Will Brings a Wolf Pack

Last night, Valentine's Day, was lovely. Steve slept and snored while I sipped Chardonnay, of course, wearing my red rose corsage. Diana spent it with two men and two boys. Make that no men and four boys. Still, not bad, Di. Karen hit the romance jackpot. Wayne took her to Billy's Sports Bar, a place known for cheap food and beer specials.

Young Will arrived at Killington at the crack of ten. We call him Uncle Will now. Is that since his beard has started sporting a bit of gray? Uncle Will brought about eight fast skiers with him--adult racers and whatnot. It was a different day for the KampK party of 4. We raced around the mountain to keep up with these guys. They don't turn. A couple of times I caught myself making short turns and told myself to stop or I'd be left behind.

That lasted until noon when Will got parched and headed for the bar. "We're going to stick to the blues and greens after this," he said. Ha! Only if those blues and greens can be found on Mahogany Ridge.

Killington has blown quite a bit of snow this year. Superstar has as high a mound as I have ever seen. They were blowing it on East Glade and again on Lower Ovation. After a short break, we took it. It was the run of the day. Top to bottom Ovation was beautiful. Tons of snow, small to medium bumps, plenty to do.

This place is a ghost town, though. Most of what there is of a crowd could be found at Bear. Otherwise the place is empty.

We're keeping our eye out for the big blizzard. Have fun out west, B & D! We can't wait to hear the tales of powder and endless terrain. Bob, enjoy the festival. Your kind of people!
