Going, Going,...

Two weeks ago, I had to trek over a foot of snow that had fallen from the roof to get into the Chardonnay Chalet. Today there is nothing. Not a flake. The then-solid ski home trail is now being used by mud-lovin' mountain bikers. This is what a few days of 80 degrees and rain can do.

Two weeks ago there were over 70 trails open. Today only Snowshed and Superstar chairs are running. "I can't believe this," says Mace.

Bronco Barb & Pico Pete took one run and were done. Their knees protested the spring conditions. Bob, Annie, Mace, and I did the same 4 trails over and over. Until 12:30. Then we left Annie & Mace to it.

Windy with occasional clouds. 50 degrees. Snowshed, an unusual spring trail, Superstar, Bittersweet, Upper Ovation, High Road, and Skyelark. That's it. Skyelark was the best.

Now it's time for a BBQ on the Chardonnay Chalet Wine Deck and maybe a bit of shopping. Cheers! Here's to the 2009/2010 season!
